A Clinical Psychologist and Psychotherapist, Raheen is passionate about Psychology and Mentoring. Over the past ten years, she has worked with several organisations in the social sector as counsellor, therapist and mentor. In 2010 she founded Open Your Arms. An all-rounder at OYA, Raheen is the driving force of the OYA team. She is a brilliant orator and her cherubic demeanour, makes her quite the favourite of all those who meet her.
Veena Kumar
Veena Ma'am is a Social Psychologist and Reiki Grandmaster. She guides OYA in all it's work and is a mentor to all of us here. A humble, down-to-earth person, Veena Ma'am is our pillar of strength and knowledge, and we cannot imagine OYA going anywhere without her!
Roopa Mohan

A Counsellor with energy and enthusiasm for all things is what Roopa is all about and she keeps the team going with her high spirits. She joined Raheen in her endeavour and has been with her through thick and thin from the start.
Behroz Dumasia
Special Educator and Mentor
Our mentor for special education in OYA, Beroz, has been with OYA since its inception. Dedicated to and passionate about children, she is a bundle of creativity and her ideas bring life to our special education work.
Nishita Desai
Before joining OYA, Nishita, worked in the field of Health. Not too happy with her area of work, she soon found inspiration in OYA's mission and has been with us ever since. She works as a counsellor and special educator and is an indispensable asset to our team.
Dhara Shah
Being of help to people is Dhara's driving force, and that's why she chose to be a counsellor. With an M.A. in Counselling Psychology, Dhara is bright and zestful and adds colour to our team as its youngest member!
Ambereen Jummani
Ambereen joined OYA because of the relevance of the concept and the passion with which it was functioning. She's also our very own financial and legal consultant.
Swetha Ranganathan
Swetha is an intern with OYA. Her wish to work for emotional well-being of children led her to join OYA in its work. She is also passionate about life skills education for children.
